We are thrilled to announce the details of our 2015 summer touring production: shadow box!

shadow box is a collection of eight contemporary opera scenes, but with one vision – exploring our mind’s relationship to memory: what we treasure dearly and what haunts us in turn. Audiences should expect something very different from shadow box: a single narrative experience.

We welcome new Bicycle Opera team members Ilana Waniuk, Erika Nielson, and Sonja Rainey and announce a brand new commissioned work by Chris Thornborrow, scored for 11 bicycle bells!

The 2015 tour includes stops in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia! Check out all the summer tour details HERE!

This June the Bicycle Opera Project will heading to Cape Breton!  In collaboration with Lorna MacDonald and Dean Burry, Bicycle Opera are thrilled to be artists in residence for their brand new work The Bells of Baddeck.  Here, in a newly created music-drama, is the story of the great inventor and his wife who came to Cape Breton and fell in love with its people, music, and Gaelic charm.

The show will run July 3 through August 2 at the Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site.
